Dr. Rajaram studies focused on materials science and its relationship to acoustics
and noise control. As part of his Ph.D. program and subsequent work with the
University of Southern California (USC), he was closely involved in the development
of honeycomb sandwich panels for the reduction of airplane cabin noise. Dr.
Rajaram was also responsible for the design, budget, and construction of a
sub-scale sound-transmission loss facility, and has served as a liaison between
the USC acoustics research program and the MC Gill Corporation. Additionally,
his work at Cochin University with rubber and polymer composites has particular
relevance to noise and vibration control for transportation systems.
